HP DL360 G6 UPDATES DRIVER
Any other test I can do to confirm it is really driver issue? so far I couldn't find any Microsoft or HP Knowledge base article which states any issue with this server and winpe 3.x.HPE-Networking-5xxx-Switches.vss - Added FlexNetwork 5520 HI series switches My initial guess of it is being driver issue is based on fact that, I see winpe hangs in starting windows screen which I believe is time where winpe starts boot startĭrivers, and secondly wine works if i disable this device from BIOS.
HP DL360 G6 UPDATES DRIVERS
But neither these default Microsoft drivers nor HP ones seem to be matching in winpe runtime.įirst of all I will like to confirm whether this is really a driver issue. I tried listing drivers using "dism /get-drivers /all" and I do see all those drivers as part of my winpe image and which are used for this device I see windows default drivers work for this device in normal running Os but they are not picked up in winpe. Is there any known difference between driver architecture of winpe(3.x) and that of windows 2008 R2/7.

I tried latest firmware updates from HP and also whatever driver versions on HP site for this array controller, but none worked so far. but just wanted to give itĪm I missing something here? how can I debug this further (any logs etc)? Any pointers are greatly appreciated. BTW I added drivers to my custom winpe using "dism.exe /add-driver " command.Īctually I had little hope with adding those drivers as I found on broadcom site that winpe for windows 7/2008 R2 (which I think is winpe3.0 only) will not require these monolithic drivers as it uses some split architecture. But then I also tried adding thoseĭrivers to winpe image for these specific nics (broadcom has provided some specific monolithic drivers for usage of these nics inside winpe 2.x and earlier) but that didn't help either. Searching over forums got me some clues that, it used to be issue with winPe2.x and earlier versions for broadcom Netextreme NICs as this NIc has some virtual driver architecture which wasn't supported in those winpe's. I see wim file getting successfully downloaded but then it I have configured my setup so this system downloads winpe wim over TFTP. I'm trying to boot my HP ProLiant D元60 G6 box into winPe 3.0 (which is for windows 7/2008 R2) and so far I'm out of luck.
